This remaster of the 2002 PS2 action-adventure holds up surprisingly well, blending Resident Evil-style fixed cameras and exploration with more action-focused, soul-absorbing combat that includes a pioneering parry system. The RE Engine rebuild looks crisp and the modernized one-to-one controls plus added autosave and skippable cutscenes are welcome, though combat feels a touch unrefined and the fixed camera can disorient during tough boss fights. A charming, fairly priced 10-hour package worth recommending to fans of early-2000s fixed-perspective games.
