Halo 3

A great-value PC port that, while only upscaled to 4K rather than fully remastered, still looks solid with some impressive landscapes and runs above 30fps with rebindable keys. The roughly nine-hour campaign is action-packed, with satisfying scarce-ammo scavenging, lethal enemies, and fun vehicle combat made better by mouse steering. Co-op proved stable despite forum complaints, and at the price it's an easy recommendation.

Yahtzee finds Halo 3 average and boilerplate — competent but unremarkable. Plot is incoherent without prior series knowledge, difficulty curve wavers wildly, friendly NPCs are useless, and the short single-player campaign doesn't justify the hype reviewers heaped on it.
